Once we receive all require documents as listed above,
and receive a confirmation from a school or language institution
to hire you, we will prepare a contract and send you a
copy. We will also send another copy to the employer.
When both parties agree on the terms and conditions, we
will fax you a copy signed by the employer. You need to
review the contract to make sure you are completely satisfied
before you sign it and fax a copy back to us. You should
keep the original fax and bring it with you to Korea.
The process of reaching a satisfactory contract, which
both parties agree, may take some time and we will be
available on line to make this process as simple as possible.
The next step in finalizing your plans to come to Korea
is to obtain the E2 work visa. First, we must apply to
the Korean immigration office on your behalf. They will
approve and issue a VISA Letter. The VISA Letter is a
blue document that says you are eligible for an E2 work
visa. It will be issued within 2-4 days and sent to you
by express mail.
Then, you should apply for the E2 Visa at the Korean consulate
within Canada. Please take the VISA Letter and your passport
to the nearest Korean Consulate. They will stamp your
Visa on your passport. It is advised to make a phone call
to the Consulate before going there. It usually takes
a couple of days to get your visa approved and stamped.
If you arrive in Korea without your E2 work visa ( in
the case of tourist visa only ), you would have to leave
the country again to apply for it. First the school must
apply to the immigration office on you behalf to obtain
the "approval for E2 Visa" Letter. You must
then take this letter and passport and one passport-sized
photo to the Korean consulate in a neighbor country (usually
means Japan).
