Preference goes to current school teachers but new graduates also welcome. Please apply by email with documents: your resume in MS Word, digital photo and a reference letter from your principal. Candidates will be selected after interview. A successful candidate will pay C$100, the application fee to Marco Polo Korea. Any Marco Polo returning teachers do not pay this fee. The successful candidate should complete a police check (vulnerable sector screening) to apply for the C4 Visa. A school teacher can submit his or her school board letter instead of a renewed police check to the Korean Consulate in Toronto.

Major Responsibilities
  • Perform teaching duties about 47-48 hours a week (1 free day per week)
  • Attend staff meeting every morning

Teacher can take one day off a week at least. A 4-week teacher can have 3 days off.


Employment Visa
  • The teacher should secure a C4 visa for temporary employment from the Korean Consulate in Canada. It normally takes 5 business days after applying.
  • The Korean government strengthened regulation. They require submitting a sealed academic transcript from your university and a police check clearance covering the vulnerable sector screening.
  • The teacher is required to bring complete set of documents including the original degree ( a bachelor or master degree), sealed transcripts, a new police check including the vulnerable, passport, a copy of passport, 1 passport-sized photograph, filled application and C$39 of application fee.

If you are a school teacher, you do not have to go through police check again. The Korean Consul is happy to accept the letter signed by your school board confirming that ¡°you are an Ontario Certified School Teacher or an employee of the school board¡± or just an employment letter.

Sometimes, depending on certain applicants, the Korean Consul may require more information or likely to decline Visa in particular to a non-native English speaker who immigrated to Canada after 12 years old or who lacks of the English proficiency.

The flight schedule is provisional at the moment. Korean Air has flight every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday between Toronto and Seoul. It is expected to be one seasonal flight, which will be on Friday. Marco Polo Korea is planning to establish a Canadian school in Korea called Niagara Christian School in response to God¡¯s call. The school will teach Canadian curriculum to Korean elementary and kindergarten students.
